Terms of Service

By accessing or using Kaya ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Kaya is a mobile application and ecosystem for pet owners, local communities, and animal welfare. Kaya allows users to:

• Create and manage pet profiles.
• Share pet profiles with trusted people.
• Track walks, health information, and pet events.
• Use local maps for pet-friendly places, clinics, shelters, and lost and found pets.
• Connect with nearby pet owners and communities.
• Access mini-applications and partner services inside Kaya.

You may sign in using Apple ID, Google, or email-based authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

You retain ownership of the content you create in Kaya, including pet profiles, photos, posts, and walk data. By using the Service, you grant Kaya a limited license to store, display, and distribute your content as necessary to operate the Service and according to your privacy settings. Kaya does not claim ownership over your pet data.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
• Harass, threaten, abuse, or impersonate others.
• Use Kaya for unauthorized commercial solicitation.
• Violate applicable laws or third-party rights.
• Attempt to access systems, data, or accounts without permission.
• Post animal abuse, cruelty, illegal trade, or other harmful content.

Kaya provides lost and found pet tools as a community service. We do not guarantee that a lost pet will be found or that information submitted by users is accurate. Users reporting found pets must not demand payment, ransom, or any unlawful reward. Lost pet search features are free, permanent, and will never be monetized.

Kaya may display health reminders, pet profile data, or informational content. This information is not veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for pet health decisions and emergencies. Kaya must not be used as a substitute for emergency veterinary care.

Your use of Kaya is governed by our Privacy Policy. We take user privacy and pet data seriously. Location information is approximate by default unless you choose to share more precise information for specific features.

We may suspend or terminate access to Kaya if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a harmful way. You may delete your account in the app, and your data will be removed according to our Privacy Policy.

Kaya is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kaya is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, pet injury, user disputes, or reliance on user-submitted content.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the app or website. Continued use of Kaya after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
